WAC looking to BYU

Expansion is on the mind of the WAC but it wants a school without football. If BYU takes up an offer the school could go Independent in football, a scenario which has people talking. Then BYU would join the WAC in the rest of its sports.
What does that mean for Utah Valley?
Well, the WAC wants a school who won't play football in the conference so BYU taking the invite would bump Utah Valley out of any chances at the WAC.
Whether BYU wants to do that may not be likely but still getting in the WAC is a possibility for Utah Valley if the conference can't find another taker.

BYU has to do something fast to get out of their TV deal with The Mountain because it is killing them. With their current TV deal in the Mountain West Conference they have no chance at any national recognition. Their fans can't even see them so how are national media and coaches going to know about them. They need to take advice from David Locke from 1320's "Locked on Sports" and get out of the MWC as fast as they can. But knowing BYU and Bronco Mendenhall this will not happen. They just plain and simple will not start change.
This is where UVU needs to step up to the plate and DO EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO GET INTO THE WAC. It would be the best thing for Wolverine Athletics and it seems honestly necessary. If Utah Valley gets into a meaningful conference and with constant opponents to play then students will want to come and support the rivalries that will take place. Just think #1 Utah State, #2 Boise State, #3 Nevada, and they would even get to play at Hawaii! Who wouldn't want that? So UV step up and make a name for yourself by beating the damn Cougars of BYU to the punch and join the WAC.
